Dinnerware

It is certain that tea was first used in China sometime around the year 2700 B.C. The exact origins are lost in the mists of time, but legends tell us that it came into use in that time period and has been in use since. The first written reference did not appear for many centuries. In the Third Century B.C. a Chinese surgeon offered it for increasing concentration and alertness. Until the Third Century A.D. tea was gathered from wild trees and used as a medicine or tonic.
